Job Description

<Summary>
This position is responsible for the planning, purchase and management of products and service consistent with specified levels of quality, delivery, price and total cost, in supply chain perspective. This position will interact with cross functional and cross regional partners on regular basis as well as external partners both domestic and international. This role also supports Supply Chain leaders and other functions in the initiatives and projects as company’s business grows and its product portfolio expands while maintaining stable supply of existing products.

<Responsibilities>
Responsibilities will include, but are not limited to, the following:
Supply planning using Supply Planning module in Oracle ERP system based on the demand forecast provided by commercial team.
Inventory management of assigned products to meet agreed inventory level and providing regular estimates and projection.
Support monthly Sales & Operations Planning process and budget cycle.
Execution of procurement and importation of the products from internal/external suppliers.
Participate, and sometimes facilitate, internal/external meetings and activities related to supply planning and executions.
Ensure that contract management is being carried out in accordance with regulatory requirements, quality standards, and company policies and procedures, including GMP, and GDP.
Support non-Supply Chain purchase activities when required.
Ensure a network of contacts available to support the Supply Chain outsourced activities within Japan. Manage relationships with contract manufacturing organizations (CMOs), external service providers, and other partners to ensure reliable and efficient supply chain performance.
Partnering with IT and other functional groups to resolve system issues and work on process improvements.
Establish key performance indicators (KPIs) and metrics to measure and evaluate supply chain performance, identify areas for improvement, and drive continuous process optimization.
Support Supply Chain leaders in the initiatives and projects such as enhancements and improvements of the CMO/3PL and new product launch.

Requirements

<Experience/Knowledge>
3-5 years of experience in inventory and supply planning and logistics operations.
Experience in Pharma or medical device industry.
Working knowledge of end-to-end supply chain operations.

<Skills/Capabilities>
Excellent planning and analytical skills.
Excellent interpersonal skills.
Strong communication skills both verbal and written in Japanese and English language.
Proficient Microsoft Office Products, including Excel, Powerpoint and Word.
Finance literacy.
Previous ERP Inventory Management and Planning Module experience.

<Qualification/Certificate>
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of education and experience in related field.
