SUMMARY DESCRIPTION
The Brand Associate is a member of Japan Commercial Operations team and acts in collaboration with Brand Manager, the commercial leader of assigned product(s) for our business in Japan.
This key role will be focused on driving marketing efforts for one of our most successful products. This position will be responsible for tactical executions which includes promotion material developments/event managements and support strategy and market developments with Japan Brand Management Team through close monitoring and analysis of markets. This role will collaborate cross functionally with Japan Brand Team to support develop over-arching brand strategies and brand performance management to achieve the agreed goal and business objectives.
The ideal candidate will have competitive launch experience and rare disease marketing experience in Japan. This individual will identify critical business issues and opportunities for growth, collaborate with commercial and cross-functional teams, and help develop and drive strategies and pull through tactics from start to finish.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Drive tactical execution to maximize our brand.
Act as member of Japan Brand Management Team to closely collaborate with Japan Brand Team (Commercial & Non-Commercial functions)
Collaboratively engage with in-country stakeholders including healthcare professionals, patient advocacy groups and patients to ensure integration of their perspectives into local plans
Lead enhancements and execution of Digital Channel Strategy to maximize brand value
Work closely with key in-country stakeholders including Sales Team to drive execution of local tactics and Medical Team to execute optimal KOL management plan
Act as Point of Contacts to manage external agencies (Market Research, Communication, Digital)
Ensure full compliance of all interactions and activities in Japan with local regulations, our business guidance, policies and SOPs
EXPERIENCE
Minimum 5 years of commercial function related experience in the biotech/pharmaceutical industry with the emphasis on new product launch experience in Japan
Demonstrated ability to think and communicate strategically & ability to foster a collaborative team environment
Proven track record of working cross-functionally with other teams (e.g., medical, market access, sales, etc.) and ability to influence others
Strong skills for communication, presentation, problem solving and project management
Intermediate English (read and write) & Japanese (native level) speaker required
Sales experience preferred
Experience of commercial related work in the rare disease, pediatrics, endocrinology, orthopedics, is a plus
Ability to travel up to 50% of the time
