Job Description

In this role, you will have the opportunity to:
・Manage supplier’s relationship
・Formulate and negotiate critical supply contracts, including assembling and analyzing market data, evaluating supply alternatives and crafting negotiating strategies.
・Participate in continuously developing suppliers to meet this company's “Preferred/Qualified Suppliers/Grow” status (Forward Procurement List)
・Participate in design reviews with engineering and suppliers on manufacturability & raw material selection in order to achieve most optimal component / service cost.
・Support, monitor, evaluate, and mentor the local tactical purchasing team members while ensuring policies and procedures regarding compliance, commitments, early involvement, supplier selection, supplier evaluation, and supplier development related to the category are understood, and implemented.

Requirements

<必須条件>
・Bachelor’s degree in Procurement or equivalent.
・Engineering with minimum of 7 - 10 years of procurement, / strategic sourcing or / category management related experience.
・Proven experience as a procurement, sourcing or commodity manager or similar executive role.
・Proven negotiation skills, with demonstrated performance results.
・Must be able to speak, written and communicate both in Japanese and English.

<歓迎経験・スキル>
・Knowledge of Commodity management
・New Product Introduction processes and supporting internal stakeholders (specifically the coordination of RFQ’s; putting together, submitting, tracking, BOM review and analysis).
・Working in unstructured, fast-paced environments.
・Global sourcing experience for a MNC manufacturing company.
・Experienced with the usage of electronic sourcing tools for RFI, RFQ, Reverse Auction
