仕事内容

Overview:
The Director, Distribution and Account Management is responsible for leading and managing the wholesale operations, ensuring efficient and compliant distribution of medical products. This role involves strategic planning, relationship management with wholesalers, compliance oversight, and collaboration with various functions to achieve organizational goals.

Key Responsibilities:
Strategic Planning and Management:
• Develop and implement price structure aligned with objectives.
• Monitor market trends and competitor activities to inform strategy adjustments.
• Set and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) for wholesale operations.

Operational Oversight:
• Oversee the day-to-day wholesale distribution activities, ensuring efficiency and effectiveness.
• Collaborating with the local supply chain management team, ensure timely and accurate delivery of products to wholesalers.
• Optimize wholesale logistics and inventory management to minimize costs and improve service levels.
• Implement management to prevent returns from medical institutions without careful consideration
• Request wholesalers to avoid selling products cheaply to medical institutions to keep value of products

Regulatory Compliance:
• Ensure all wholesale operations comply with Japanese pharmaceutical regulations and standards.
• Implement and monitor compliance programs and conduct regular audits.
• Liaise with regulatory authorities and ensure timely reporting and documentation.
• Develop SOPs for recalls, returns from wholesalers including the shipment.
• Understand PMD Act, Anti-Monopoly Act, distribution improvement guidelines, and sales information provision guidelines properly.

Relationship Management:
• Build and maintain strong relationships including GM meeting with conducted wholesalers.
• Negotiate contracts and agreements with wholesale partners.
• Address and resolve any issues or disputes with wholesalers.

Cross-Functional Collaboration:
• Collaborate with sales, marketing, and supply chain teams to align wholesale strategies with overall business goals
• Work with the quality assurance and legal teams to ensure compliance and risk management

Team Leadership:
• Lead and develop a team of wholesale management professionals.
• Provide coaching, mentoring, and training to enhance team performanc.
• Conduct performance reviews and manage team development plans.

Financial Management:
• Develop and manage the wholesale operations budget.
• Monitor and control expenses to ensure financial efficiency.
• Analyze financial reports and provide insights with JLT for decision-making.
• Pay for performance (Rebate, Allowance) to wholesalers without delay based on their sales performance.
• Analyze financial statements of individual wholesalers.

応募資格

• Minimum of 5 years of experience in pharmaceutical distribution or wholesale management
• Fundamental platform such as basic contract with wholesaler and JD net
• Plan of price structure and collaboration strategy with wholesaler to accelerate business objectives
• A leadership role within the pharmaceutical industry
• In charge of HQ of both national wholesaler and local wholesaler

Skills:
• Strong understanding of Japanese pharmaceutical regulations and distribution practices
• Alignment ability b/w brand strategy and wholesaler strategy
• Strong negotiation and relationship abilities
• Proficiency in logistics, supply chain management, and inventory control
• Excellent communication and leadership skills
• Utilization of Excel, Word and Power point
• Fluency in Japanese and basic English
